Alliance Partners

Alliance Partnerships range across sectors from training to technology and are based on collaborations in which the structure and ideals of each organization reinforce the goals and objectives of both.

WSG builds alliances with organizations that reinforce our capacity to empower and inform professionals in order to better service their clients globally. The activities of its partners as an extension of activities that WSG believes members deserve and are provided in a manner that equals the quality and substance of initiatives WSG would itself undertake.

About SWIICL

The Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law is a membership organization that offers continuing education programs for in-house and private practice lawyers who practice international business law. It promotes the rule of law in the international community and, counting all of its programs, has had participants from more than 120 countries.

Francesco Gianni, Founding Partner, Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners (Italy), WSG member and SWIICL Executive Committee Chair states, "Over the years, my firm has sent more than 20 lawyers to the Academy. It is an incredibly valuable introduction to international and American law. I am proud to bring WSG and the Academy together to build a valuable partnership".

The Academy of American and International Law

The Institute's premier annual event is the Academy of American and International Law. Since 1963, this multi-week program has attracted over 3,000 participants from 120 countries. Through its extraordinary classroom and extracurricular schedule, the Academy offers opportunities to forge valuable international relationships that last a lifetime. This intensive, six-week course of study is designed for lawyers from outside the United States and focuses on U.S. law and international business transactions. Participants from more than 20 countries study and socialize together, learning from each other. They receive instruction from some of the best teachers and practitioners of international law from U.S. law schools, law firms, and corporations. The practical curriculum includes both skills training and substantive law subjects (legal writing, negotiations, mediation, international arbitration and litigation, contracts, international business transactions, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, international taxation, and more).

The Symposium on Global Markets

The Symposium on Global Markets, a two-day event focused on international investment, trade, and security and gaining new legal tools for new challenges, is designed for senior international lawyers to explore current legal issues vital to international business. This event allows lawyers to analyze the dynamic legal landscape as well as understand the domestic and international legal regimes that govern the constant flow of business, information, money, people, and services across borders.

WSG Member Tuition:

WSG members have the opportunity to attend the Academy's six-week course and The Symposium on Global Markets at a discounted rate of USD $3,000 for both. Regular tuition fee for SWIICL Non-Members: USD $8,595.
