Section 66A Struck Down by Supreme Court

INTRODUCTION On March 25, 2015, the Supreme Court of India struck down Section 66A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“Act”) as being unconstitutional. It also struck down a similar provision of the Kerala Police Act and read down the meaning of section 79 of the Act and its rules.
