Andrew G. Beshear came to the firm in March 2005 from White & Case LLP in Washington, D.C. Andrew is a litigator whose practice includes general litigation, professional liability (non-medical professionals), class action and antitrust defense. He also works on complex litigation involving extensive discovery and electronic discovery issues. He is a member of the electronic discovery team and advises clients as to the requirements and process of electronic discovery. He is currently practicing in the Business Litigation Service Group.

Recent Assignments

• Worked with team of attorneys in overturning $60 million judgment against a uranium trader and obtaining a remand to clarify a 10-year old arbitration award

• Worked with the Antitrust group to secure dismissal of Robinson Patman claim for an important client

• Secured summary judgment rulings in 2005 for several attorney malpractice defense cases

• Assisted in successfully defending a global power against an injunction interfering with its disarmament program

• Represents a variety of professionals, including attorneys, insurance agents and brokers, contractors/engineers, architects and audiologists in professional malpractice litigation

Before Stites & Harbison

While in law school, Andrew taught a trial practices class at local middle schools. Upon graduation, he worked as an Associate for White & Case LLP in Washington, D.C. In 2005, he returned home to Kentucky to practice with Stites & Harbison.

More Than Stites & Harbison

Andrew serves as President of the Vanderbilt Alumni Chapter of Louisville and volunteers for the Kentucky Youth Association. He enjoys civic involvement and is an avid softball player.

Besides Stites & Harbison

Andrew is a lifelong Kentucky Wildcat fan and has begun rooting for Louisville as well. He enjoys both watching and playing sports and has a keen interest (and degree) in archaeology. He is also a new homeowner which occupies most of his time.
