It is with great pleasure and excitement that I assume the responsibility of Chairman of World Services Group for the 2004-2005 term. Over the past year, WSG has rapidly grown to become the world's largest network, with 48% growth over the 2003-2004 year and an increased expansion across all regions of the world. It is important to recognize that this growth is mainly attributed to the leadership of the Past Chairman, Tim Powers, Partner at Haynes & Boone and to Steve McGarry, President of World Services Group. Tim has left me with a big challenge that I hope I will be able to fulfill making it possible for the organization to continue thriving.

As Chairman, I intend to continue with the many successes of World Services Group to date. For the coming year, our main focus will be in three distinct areas. First, it is important to continue the great success of the organization and complete the root of the organization based in the law firm structure. This entails having the best representative of the legal industry in every region of the world without conceding the top quality of each member firm. Secondly, it is my objective to expand the multidisciplinary side of WSG by increasing the services being represented in each jurisdiction. My objective is to have at least two additional service providers represented in each jurisdiction. Finally, it is most important that we focus on an increase in the usage and implementation of the tools available in the WSG network and platform by all member firms. These tools will permit access to the WSG network to all individuals in the members firms, thereby increasing their worldwide business opportunities.
