This year's European Regional Meeting took place in Paris on April 11-12 and was hosted by Lefèvre Pelletier & Associés. The meeting focused on the practice area of Mergers and Acquisitions. It was represented by a panel of M&A WSG members and a guest speaker, Brigid Sutcliffe, Principal Consultant Siddall & Company Limited. This productive meeting included two 30-minute member-to-member sessions and several networking activities.

80 WSG members and their guests attended from 33 European jurisdictions, Australia, India, Michigan, New York and South Africa.

For the second year in a row, a cocktail event was organized for the WSG attendees of the 2008 EELA Conference. The event was hosted in Lisbon, Portugal, by the Employment team of PLMJ - A. M. Pereira, Sáragga Leal, Oliveira Martins, Júdice e Associados at the firm’s office. Several WSG members had the opportunity to enjoy a tour through the Portuguese firm's art collection while tasting local wine and Portuguese cheese.

Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, WSG member for Germany, invited WSG members attending the INTA Annual Meeting to a Cocktail Reception at the elegant hotel "Kaisersaal", in the heart of Berlin on 19 May 2008.

WSG members in the Washington D.C. region were invited to attend a networking cocktail with the WSG Board of Directors in June. The event, hosted by Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP was a great success. This is the third time WSG has hosted members in the Washington D.C. region.
