7th Annual Meeting in Munich, Germany
The 2008 Annual Meeting was held in Munich on September 12 & 13. Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek,
WSG legal member of Germany, sponsored this year's meeting. The German firm hosted the exclusive
Welcome Reception at the Munich Residenz, the former royal palace of the Bavarian monarchs .
The evening began with a guided tour through the Residenz rooms and finalized at a dinner reception
in one of the antique salons. Delegates and their guests also enjoyed an exclusive dinner at The Lenbach
Restaurant and a typical Bavarian Luncheon as the Annual Meeting closure.
This year's Annual Meeting gathered over 120 participants. Speakers enriched the panel discussions
and networking opportunities. Guest speakers included: Thomas Fricke, Chief Economist, Financial Times
Germany; Marko Maslakovic, Senior Economist, International Financial Services London: Sovereign Wealth Funds;
Karin Millet, Head of FIAS, World Bank Group; Mark O'Hare, Managing Director, Private Equity Intelligence Ltd;
Jan Remmen, Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations Deloitte & Touche; Dr. Nicholas Verwilghen, Partner and Head
of Quantitative Research E.I.M. S.A; Neal Wade, Director, Alabama Development Office.
During the Annual Meeting, the WSG 2007-2008 Chairman Peter Bartlett, Partner of Minter Ellison,
Australia, handed over his position to Michael Greene, Partner of A&L Goodbody, Ireland and new directors
were included to the WSG Board: Patrick Celestine, Partner of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Germany; Pam J. Webster,
Co-Managing Partner of Webster Dyrud Mitchell, Anguilla: Ronaldo Veirano, Founding Partner of Veirano Advogados,
Brazil: Steven G. McKinney, Partner & Chair of the Environmental Section of Balch & Bingham, Alabama.
The 2009 Annual Meeting will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica hosted by Pacheco Coto and AFC Asesores Fiscales
Corporativos, legal member and accounting member representing Costa Rica respectively.

Networking Luncheon on the Occasion of ABA 2008
Nixon Peabody LLP hosted a networking luncheon for more than 30 WSG members attending the 2008
ABA Annual Meeting in New York City. The Luncheon was held at Nixon Peabody's offices located on
Madison Avenue and constituted the 3rd year in a row WSG held this luncheon.

Networking Dinner During the IFA Annual Meeting
For the first time, a networking event took place during the International Fiscal Association (IFA)
Annual Conference. WSG legal member in Belgium, Altius-Tiberghien, hosted a networking dinner on September
1st for WSG members attending the IFA Annual Conference 2008 in Brussels.
