WSG Latin American Regional Meeting 2010,
Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Latin American Regional Meeting was held in April and was hosted by Estudio Beccar Varel and SMS San Martin, Suarez y Asociados, WSG Legal and Accounting members of South America. There were members from 10 different jurisdictions represented at this meeting. The participants began the meeting with a panel discussion regarding E-Commerce, Intercompany Services: Allocation of GlobalCosts versus Effective Rendering of the Services; Governance and Business Planning: Two Critical Elements of Managed Growth. All of the presentations demonstrated the current economic climate the legal profession is facing and how to make it work for your firm. The meeting also offered many networking opportunities including a wonderful dinner at Sottovoce Restaurant - an attractive venue with a unique view of the Rio de la Plata.

WSG Asia Pacific Regional Meeting 2010,
Singapore, Singapore

The Asian Pacific Regional Meeting was held in May and was hosted by Stamford Law, WSG Legal member of Singapore. There were over 33 delegates representing 17 different jurisdictions. The participants were able to participate in a round table discussion about the Global Financial Crisis opportunities lost and new ones found. In addition, discussions were held on International Practice Landscape - Asian Realignments. The WSG members who attended the meeting enjoyed the networking opportunities as this event has been in existence for two years and the largest in the past four years.

WSG European Regional Meeting 2010,
Stockholm, Sweden

The European Regional Meeting was held in June and was hosted by Delphi, WSG Legal member of Sweden. There were delegates from 37 different jurisdictions including Australia, Argentina and the United States. The participants began the meeting by introducing the new members from Divjak, Topic & Bahtijarevic of Croatia, Plesner of Denmark and Blasova Mikhel & Partners of Belarus. The panel discussions began with Private Equity Investment; What Happens after the Crunch? and Ambassador Olof Ehrenkrona, Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs spoke on "Globalization in Volatile Times". A final presentation on Law Firm Management ended the sessions. All of the presentations created a common dialogue among the WSG members and the panelists on how to manage your law firm during these economic times. The meetings offered many networking opportunities during the sessions. The Member to Member Networking Breakfast created a nice buzz among the WSG members as they were exchanging ideals and creating new deals. During the dinner reception, the WSG participants enjoyed the beauty of Stockholm Archipelago, while networking and dining aboard the Gustafsberg VII, as the sun goes down slowly during the summer.

WSG Networking Cocktail INTA 2010, Boston, Massachusetts

The International Tradmark Association Networking event was held in Boston and was hosted by Nutter McClennen & Fish, WSG Legal member of Boston. There were 87 delegates from 43 different jurisdictions that made this networking event a huge success. The INTA event has more than tripled in attendance since it was first held in 2004.



WSG Networking Cocktail EELA 2010, Luxembourg

The European Employment Lawyers Association Networking event was held in Luxembourg and was hosted by Arendt & Medernach, WSG Legal member of Luxembourg. There were delegates from over 10 jurisdictions that made this networking event very successful.
