What We Believe
Globalization has transformed the way business is conducted. The market for tangible products has always crossed borders, but today, the advancement of technology has created a surge in the need for services to cross boundaries as well. Continually, industries and regions that once were considered independent of each other are intertwining and professionals sense the need to use experts in other fields to expand their knowledge to become even more effective in their dealings. WSG's tools are a dynamic way for members to locate individual professionals with specific expertise to assist clients and resolve issues.
WSG Mission
The mission of World Services Group (WSG) is to create a global network of professional service industries which promotes members' mutual interests and provides for their benefit and their clients' benefit access to the services of other members. The purpose is to provide a local, national, regional and global forum for communication, information exchange, networking, and identification of business expansion opportunities. This is accomplished through peer-to-peer networking, professional development and annual conferences which are critical means for fulfilling the mission.
Chairman's Objectives 2009-10
It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I write to you for the first time as Chairman of our wonderful Organization. And I believe it is wonderful because it brings together a great number of firms and people of different professional fields and backgrounds, latitudes and races, all with one common interest, which is to multiply our international contacts at a first class level, and so better serve our respective clients. The possibility of referring a good firm in any other part of the world to one of our clients, knowing that they will be well served and looked-after by our friends there, is a great asset that allows those who make the referral provide a more complete service to its clients. The fact that we can do this within the Organization, but covering different fields and areas of interest to our clients, is an asset that no other group can offer.
This asset needs yet to be improved, expanding into more jurisdictions and covering more fields of interest. Legal, Accounting and Investment Banking are our main goals at present, and we need to have representatives of all three fields in every country in the World; we are getting there, thanks to your assistance in suggesting eventual candidates and the hard work of our staff.
But besides, we also need to increase the awareness of the members of our own firms who, unless they have ever had personal exposure to the benefits and easy access to WSG’s magnificent networks, are not even aware of how well it works and the benefits they may so easily obtain directly from it, just by accessing our webpage.
This is why I believe that in this year of great challenges, where everyone around the Globe is looking into their cost structures and marketing plans, we must bring to our members (and members-to-be) more information about the wonderful tool that WSG brings, and this will enable us all to improve the quality of our services to our clients. To this effect we need to spread the word within our firms and help everyone in them to get more familiar with the possibilities that are available. We must work hard to achieve this and we will soon see the benefits. I am counting on all of you to achieve this goal.
There were wonderful events organized and carried our throughout this year now ending by our Team and member firms which hosted us so graciously, where collegiality and friendship were displayed in a manner that I had never seen before among a group formed by so many people of different parts of the World. We are confident that next year’s meetings will be at least as successful, and we should not only look forward to the Annual Meeting that will take place in Rome, but also to all the other events organized by the different Regional Councils, and by other world organizations where WSG will be present promoting networking, getting to know more representatives of our member firms in order to interact more fluidly. We must also try to take some time off when we travel around the world to visit with the other member firms, and there contact those professionals which we don’t generally meet at the WSG events, expanding thus our personal network of WSG fellow members. That is what I understand by achieving greater awareness of WSG’s benefits.
I am looking forward to seeing - if not all - at least many of you at the several events that will allow us all remain in contact throughout 2010, and on behalf of the Board and our Management Team, I wish you all a great Holiday Season and a wonderful New Year.
