A specialist in Intellectual Property Law with concentration in litigation, counseling and strategies to make up for lost time for the granting of patents.
Adolfo Athie has extensive experience in administrative litigation and intangible protection before federal courts, including privacy matters and data protection.

In addition to trademark registrations, patent litigation and data protection, Adolfo Athie has been actively involved in litigation before Mexican Federal Courts, Amparo (Constitutional Proceeding) for the protection of such Intellectual Property rights from counterfeiting and antitrust cases, infringement and unfair competition. In general, he also has a vast experience in administrative litigation, challenging any authoritys decision.
Adolfo Athie has successfully defended domain names through international panel, such as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Graduated from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (National Autonomous University of Mexico), 1991.
Postgraduate Business and Corporate Law Program at the Universidad Panamericana, 1992.
Postgraduate Amparo (Constitutional Proceeding) Law Program at the Universidad Panamericana, 1999.

Professor of University Anahuac del Norte in Mexico City (1994 to 1995) teaching the practice chair of Amparo.

Additional ArticlesAdolfo Athie has published numerous articles and essays on different topics in the United States magazine, Privacy Law Adviser, Managing Intellectual Property, World Finance, Chambers & Partners, and The Mexican law magazines: El Foro, La Barra, el Abogado Corporativo, among others.
He was part of the working group at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property to amend the Mexican Industrial Property Law in 1999-2000 and promoted the bill to amend the Industrial Property Law in order to reduce the time needed to obtain damages. It is still pending.
