Profile

Balindile Shezi is an Executive at ENS in the Employment law practice. She specialises in South African employment law related matters and has experience in drafting opinions relating to issues arising from the Labour Relations Act, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Employment Equity Act.  

She also regularly assists clients with applications for ministerial determinations to be exempt from certain provisions of the BCEA to allow clients to achieve their business imperatives.   Balindile has been regularly appearing at the CCMA, bargaining councils and Labour Court since she was an associate.

Balindile has a strong sense of the commercial aspects of employment law and her experience includes advising and drafting agreements on the employment related aspects in mergers and acquisition transactions; and advising in employment related issues with respect to distress, restructuring and business rescue proceedings.

Balindile has extensive experience in collective bargaining ranging from advising clients on wage negotiations and strike management, negotiating working hours, and advising on general industrial relations issues.
