Catherine Reynolds is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone. Cate works on a wide range of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent prosecution and litigation. Her practice includes a wide variety of technologies with a particular focus on inorganic and organic chemical compositions and processes, down-hole oilfield compositions, processes, and machinery, and semiconductor device fabrication.

While earning her law degree, Cate worked at Haynes and Boone as a Scientific Advisor prosecuting domestic and international patent applications related to the chemical arts and semiconductor technology.

Prior to joining the firm, Cate worked for over a decade as a process development engineer at one of the world’s leading semiconductor and MEMS manufacturing companies. She has extensive experience in many areas of device fabrication including films, ion-implantation, plasma and wet-chemical etching, production and quality control, micro-machining, and laser ablation.

Cate holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and is a certified TRIZ practitioner.
