François Warken is the partner in charge of the capital markets practice of Arendt & Medernach. He specialises in securities laws and capital markets regulation where he advises on all aspects of debt and equity issuance and other capital markets transactions. François Warken’s practice further focuses on regulatory compliance and related corporate governance issues.

François Warken is a member of the Financial Markets Committee of the Association des Banques et Banquiers Luxembourg and participates in various ad hoc interpretation groups on securities law matters with the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, the regulatory authority of the financial sector in Luxembourg.

He is also a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 1993 and served as a member on the Luxembourg Bar Council from 2001 to 2003.

Prior to joining the Luxembourg Bar, he worked with one of the Big Four firms in Luxembourg.

François Warken holds a Master's degree in law from the Université Robert Schuman, Strasbourg (France).

Since 1998, he has also been a candidat notaire.
