Profile

Jerry Peven is the co-team leader of the Firm’s Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Special Servicer Group. He focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and loan workouts. He represents real estate owners and operators, banks and other financial institutions and special servicers of securitized loans on a local and national basis. Jerry’s substantial loan workout experience includes the preparation and negotiation of forbearance agreements, bring current agreements, loan modification and restructuring agreements, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure  and loan assumption agreements involving vacant land and  properties improved with hotels, shopping centers, commercial office buildings, multifamily and golf courses. He also has had significant experience in the acquisition and disposition of apartment projects, shopping centers, industrial properties and office buildings. During his career, Jerry has represented Equity Residential (one of the largest residential REITs in the U.S.); JVM Realty Corporation; Freestone Realty Advisors; CW Capital; RBS Citizens National Association; Advantage National Bank; Bank One N.A., JPMorgan Chase, N.A.; Mooring Financial Corporation. the National Credit Union Administration, C-III Asset Management LLC and Rialto Capital Advisors, LLC. Both C-III and Rialto are special servicers of CMBS loans.
