Profile

Natasha is a senior associate with extensive experience both in acting for public sector clients, particularly public sector clients with regulatory functions, and engaging with regulators on behalf of commercial clients. She is experienced in acting in formal inquiries and represented two former senior police officers in the Justice 1 Committee Inquiry of the Scottish Parliament into the Shirley McKie fingerprint case.  She is a highly experienced and focused litigator. More recently, Natasha has acted as lead advisor for the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission in relation to the first challenges under the Legal Aid and Legal Profession (Scotland) Act 2007. Natasha is Scottish advisor to the Security Industry Authority in Scotland and acts for the Standards Commission. She has recent experience of drafting and negotiating references to the European Court of Justice from proceedings in the Court of Session in relation to tax appeals, and has acted in judicial review proceedings. She advises clients on criminal liability; most regularly on health and safety/environmental regulatory action and on bribery and corruption compliance. Chambers 2012 says "Natsha impresses clients both with the speed she gets to grips with complex cases as well as her ability to remain focused, yet creative".
