Olivia Rumble is a senior associate at ENSafrica in the environmental department.
She has experience in advising on environmental authorisations required for existing and new build developments and associated contractual advice, most recently with the Independent Renewable Energy Power Procurement Programme. Olivia also has experience in water law and related authorisations, particularly with regards to the mining sector.
Olivia’s experience includes advising on environmental impact assessments, appeals and reviews, environmental authorisation applications, and environmental matters in commercial agreements. Her experience also includes environmental due diligences, legal registers, risk assessments, mine closure and rehabilitation, responses to compliance notices and/or directives from the environmental authorities and general litigation.
With regards to climate change law, Olivia has experience in the fields of adaptation law and has provided legal advice to government departments leading the climate change adaptation response and related matters. Olivia was previously a clerk at the Constitutional Court and part of an international moot in Copenhagen regarding climate change prior to the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties 15.
