Stephen Levetan is a director in ENSafrica’s natural resources and environment department. In particular, Stephen has advised clients in regard to environmental impact assessments, appeals and reviews thereof, and environmental due diligences. He has also advised clients on obtaining environmental permits, on climate change issues and in respect of drafting Emission Reduction Purchase Agreements both in the compliance and voluntary markets. He also has experience in assisting clients with environmental law enforcement issues. He has also advised clients on both environmental and land use planning issues involved with renewable energy projects.

Stephen’s litigation experience includes dealing with matters involving personal injury, professional malpractice, insurance, building and construction, intellectual property, property (including all facets of land use planning), sectional titles, general contractual matters, as well as tax litigation.

Stephen leads the firm’s environmental law department, while remaining a member of the firm’s commercial litigation department. He is also a qualified arbitrator and member of the Environmental Lawyers Association.
