Trevor Hoffmann has spent the last 15 years representing debtors, creditors, special servicers, acquirers and estate fiduciaries in in all phases of restructuring. Trevor trained as a Canadian lawyer before moving to New York City in 2001. Since that time, Trevor has immersed himself in domestic and cross-border cases involving everything from airlines, financial institutions and cable companies to real estate, leisure and energy companies.

Trevor’s practice includes regular appearances in bankruptcy courts throughout the United States, including in New York, Delaware, Texas and Nevada. Trevor advises clients in both the transactional and litigation arenas, and also works extensively with his colleagues in Haynes and Boone’s finance, real estate, corporate and litigation practices, advising on everything from workouts and safe harbors to underwriting and distressed acquisitions.

Trevor’s representative matters have included Innkeepers, MF Global, FKF Madison Group Owner, Fedders, Shelbourne North Water Street, Broadstripe Communications, FX Luxury Las Vegas, Adelphia, and Nellson Nutraceutical. Trevor was selected for inclusion in New York Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters, 2013-2017, and prior to that, was selected for inclusion in New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars, Thomson Reuters, 2011-2012.

Senior bankruptcy and trial counsel representing Midland Loan Services as special servicer on an $825 million senior secured loan collateralized by 45 hotels in the Innkeepers bankruptcy case pending in the Southern District of New York Bankruptcy Court.

Representation of second lien agent and certain second lien (junior) lenders in the FX Luxury Las Vegas I, LLC bankruptcy case in the Las Vegas, Nevada bankruptcy court. Successfully obtained ownership for the firm's clients of a seventeen-acre property located on the Las Vegas strip across from City Center.

Representation of The Bank of New York Mellon, as successor administrative and collateral agent for the first lien lenders holding $185 million of senior secured debt in the Wellman, Inc. Chapter 11 case.

Representation of NexBank, SSB, Highland Capital Management, L.P. and Highland Institutional Funds in connection with holdings $102 million of secured second lien debt in Broadstripe LLC Chapter 11 case and related lender liability litigation.
