Mr. Chao represented high-tech companies in their venture financing and offshore securities offerings. Mr. Chao helped clients design the transaction structures, restructure companies, and solve PRC legal issues. Mr. Chao also represented a variety of multinational companies, handling various legal issues related to their direct investments and mergers and acquisition transactions within China. Such transactions included the establishment of various types of foreign-invested enterprises, designation and reformation of company structure, large and complicated asset transfer, appraisal and government approval of state-owned assets, research and analysis of regulation and policy changes, strategic planning, and advice on operational matters such as tax, financial accounting, and human resources.

Education
Mr. Chao graduated from Peking University with an LL.B. degree and a Bachelor of Science. Later, Mr. Chao studied at Cornell Law School and received his LL.M. degree.
