Zeyn Bhyat is a director at ENSafrica in the corporate commercial department and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate restructurings and cross-border transactions.

Zeyn has acted for sector and industry leaders in the financial services sector, property development and management, aviation, mining, offshore private equity funds, banking, Islamic finance, insurance, advertising, media, black economic empowerment and hotel/leisure industries.

Zeyn’s experience includes cross-border/international transactions, commercial contracts, corporate advice, corporate structuring, corporate finance, aviation finance and aviation asset acquisition, mining joint ventures and finance, private equity, Islamic finance (structuring and development), competition, and corporate governance. Zeyn’s experience further extends to working closely with regulators supervising merger and acquisition activity in Southern Africa, such as the Takeover Regulation Panel, the JSE Limited, the SA competition authorities, the SA banking regulator and the SA Financial Services Board.

Zeyn currently acts as trustee to a faith based registered public benefit organization and regularly assists in their offering. He has previously lectured to members of the Black Lawyers Association on corporate law. Zeyn also presents seminars on Islamic finance.
