Tender of Transmission Channels for the Provison of Public Service Broadcast Digital Television

On March 6, the Plenary Session of the Federal Telecommunications Institute published in the Federal Official Gazette the call of public tender no. IFT-1 that is intended for the development and commercial use of transmission channels for the provision of public service broadcast digital television ("Tender"). This would be, to form two national chains in Mexico for a period of twenty years. These stations would operate with the frequency coverage and specifications shown in the table found in the Gazette publication.


To submit an offer, interested parties must take into account the following requirements:


Obtain a favorable opinion with respect to economic competition from the Federal Institute of Telecommunications ("the Institute"). A request for this must, be sent to the Economic Competition Office of the Institute, in accordance with the instructions that have been available to interested parties since March 9, and delivered on June 16 and 17, 2014 to Filing Office of the Institute.


Notice of the opinion will be given to the parties concerned on September 8 and 9, 2014.


Take into consideration the dates when each stage of the Tender will take place, as described below:


STAGES


1. Questions and answers and delivery of documentation to the Institute; October 9 and 13, 2014.

2. Opinion and Certificates of Participation; June 18 and 19, 2014.

3. Opening and qualification of offers with respect to coverage and financial matters; January 22, 2015.

4. Award and delivery of concession certificates; March 25, 2015.
