Profile

Cian McCourt is an Associate in the Commercial Department of A&L Goodbody and specialises in commercial law and in particular mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance and the establishment of operations in Ireland from overseas locations. Cian also advises on entertainment law and in particular film and television production, film financing, artists’ agreements, music licensing, concerts/outdoor events and general copyright law.

Cian is a member of the Firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions, Media & Entertainment, Intellectual Property Law and Healthcare and Life Sciences Units. He is a Business and Economics graduate of Trinity College Dublin and also studied in Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium as part of his studies. Cian has written a number of articles on mergers and acquisitions and entertainment law and has also given presentations on various commercial and entertainment law issues.

Cian joined the Firm in 1998 and he qualified as a solicitor in 2001.
