After graduating from University of Vienna School of Law, Christoph Stippl obtained a post-graduate degree from Columbia University School of Law (LL.M.), where he focused on commercial arbitration and international business law. He worked in law firms in Paris and Vienna prior to joining DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS in summer 2003. Christoph Stippl is admitted as attorney in Austria and in New York (USA), and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).

Specializing in commercial arbitration, Christoph Stippl has appeared in numerous ad hoc arbitrations and in proceed-ings before key arbitration institutions. He is experienced in handling multi-jurisdictional and complex multi-party, fre-quently concerning CEE disputes. His industry experience focuses on general commercial law, corporate law, M&A/Joint Ventures, telecommunications, construction law and distributorship/commercial agency disputes.

In addition to his arbitration practice, Christoph Stippl has broad M&A experience. He was involved in a multitude of national and international transactions, covering also takeover law aspects. His experience further includes privatizations in Austria and the new EU accession countries. Christoph Stippl assisted in many corporate transactions including joint ventures.

Christoph has written his doctors' thesis in the field of multi-party arbitration and published various articles, mostly on arbitration.
