Profile

William Timmermans is a partner in the Regulatory & Real Estate Department of Altius. He specializes in regulatory matters and administrative law, with a focus on public procurement and PPP. He also advises clients on all types of permits and regulatory issues. He pleads before the ordinary courts but also before the Constitutional Court and the Council of State, the highest administrative court in Belgium.

William graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven (Lic. Jur., 1995) and obtained an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (1996). William was admitted to the Brussels bar in 1996. He is a Member of the Lawyers Association for Public Law and the Forum for Environmental Lawyers. He is a regular speaker for the VVA (Vlaamse Vereniging voor Aanbestedingsrecht).

William regularly publishes on public procurement, particularly on judicial protection under European and Belgian law. He advises clients in Dutch, French, English.
