Profile

Josh is a member of our real estate, business services, and financial services departments and has represented one of Canada's leading national banks in addition to assisting locally based lenders on multi-million dollar financing projects. Josh has acted for both tenants and landlords, including some of Canada's leading retailers, and oil field service companies.

Josh has substantial experience in leasing, condominium law, property development and real estate finance. He has extensive experience preparing and negotiated commercial leases in office, retail and industrial settings. Josh has prepared commercial leases for mixed-use projects and has extensive experience in the creation of a several condominium projects, and routinely advises on issues related to condominium project management and development issues.

Josh is also very active in the Alberta Bar. He has been an instructor for the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA) course designed to educate paraprofessionals in real property transactions and was an editor of the remedies section of the Alberta Real Estate Practice Manual and Alberta Real Estate Fundamentals.

He has also presented on the topic of mixed-use leasing to the Canadian Condominium Institute and is the case reviewer for the Canadian Condominium Institute's bi-annual legal luncheon. Josh is also the current Vice-Chair of the CBA South Alberta Commercial Real Estate Subsection and the Case Reviewer and Legislative Reviewer, Residential Real Estate subsection of the South Alberta branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
