Rajasingam obtained his LL.B (Hons)(First Class Honours) from IIUM, and LL.M (Hons) and M.A. both from Cantab. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1996.

His practice areas include corporate and insolvency litigation; asset and debt recovery; receivership; commercial litigation; defamation and professional negligence. He has extensive experience in land acquisitions and judicial reviews.

He also advises on Competition Law, compulsory land acquisition. Land Reference hearings and appeals under the Land Acquisition Act 1960. Planning Development hearings. Appeals to the Appeals Board under the Town and Country Planning legislation. Judicial Review against compulsory acquisition, and development and planning orders.

Rajasingam represents a wide rand of maritime interests including ship owners, charterers, P & I clubs, shipyards, banks, oil and gas multinationals, container terminal operators, freight forwarders and logistic companies in matters pertaining to maritime transportation and insurance; marine cargo and hull claims; maritime arbitration; maritime casualty, salvage and collision claims; marine environment and regulatory; ship building and registration; maritime lien and mortgages; arrest of ships and releases and maritime litigation.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Member of the Shipping and Admiralty Committee of the Malaysian Bar and Member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
