Catherine Duffy is Head of the Banking and Finance Group at A&L Goodbody. An experienced Banking & Finance lawyer her practice focuses on asset financing (in particular aircraft and shipping), securitisation and tax-based financing and leasing and general banking. She also practices in insolvency

Catherine is a member of the legal advisory panel to the Aviation Working Group to the Unidroit Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment. She has also been a member of the Advisory Group to the Minister for the Marine & Natural Resources which oversees the workings of the Irish Maritime Development Office which had been set up to promote and assist the development of Irish shipping and shipping services. Catherine is recommended as an expert in the IFLR 1000.

Catherine qualified as a solicitor in 1988 in Northern Ireland and in the Irish Republic in 1991. She joined the firm in 1990 and became a partner in 1997.
