Delphi invited WSG members to the WSG European Regional Meeting 2022. This was the first in-person WSG regional meeting since 2019. The meeting was held in Stockholm, Sweden, and the program featured guest speakers, panels and discussions. This was a great opportunity to reconnect through multiple networking opportunities with colleagues in the region.

Guest Speaker Presentation: Governance, Risk & Compliance – Key risks for organizations
Carolina Klint was appointed Risk Management Leader for Continental Europe in October 2020 and oversees Marsh’s Risk Management teams in the region as they build on existing capabilities and develop strategic solutions that will support and enable Marsh’s largest clients to navigate the global risk landscape. She also leads key initiatives around customer centricity, innovation, and enhanced value propositions throughout the region. She has appeared on Swedish business weekly Veckans Affarer’s list as one of “The 125 Most Powerful Women in Business” for three consecutive years.

Guest Speaker Presentation: Sweden and The Pandemic: How Did It Turn Out?
While lockdowns, curfews and travel bans were being rolled out across the world, Swedish restaurants, stores, museums, and schools remained open. Join Johan Giesecke as he navigates the approach taken by Sweden at the outset of the pandemic, the affects and ultimate outcomes to the Swedish community and economy.

Johan Giesecke a Swedish physician and Professor Emeritus at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. From 1995 to 2005, Giesecke served as state epidemiologist of Sweden. After this, he was Chief Scientist at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control from 2005 to 2014. As of 2020, Giesecke is a member of the Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for Infectious Hazards of the World Health Organization, and also works as an advisor to the Public Health Agency of Sweden.
