The North Carolina offices of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, located in Raleigh, Durham and Charlotte, serve regional, national and international clients in a variety of industries. Working collaboratively with lawyers in the firm’s global offices, our lawyers in North Carolina guide clients in matters of varying scopes and complexities. Clients frequently turn to our lawyers for their deep experience in the licensing and enforcement of intellectual property rights. In sophisticated environmental litigation and regulatory matters, our lawyers have developed a reputation for stellar work. Drawing from the strengths of the firm’s award-winning environmental practice, Hunton & Williams lawyers have handled high profile cases, including the largest environmental contamination case in the history of North Carolina. Our lawyers also regularly work on cross-border chemical-safety issues, advise clients on disputes and investigations relating to financial reporting and corporate governance, develop legal strategies for companies working on commercial real estate transactions, and act as the go-to counsel for tax-exempt transactions in the state of North Carolina.
The Raleigh office has a long standing municipal bond practice, working with such North Carolina clients as the State and its Turnpike Authority. Attorneys in the practice area also work with lawyers in our other offices in financings for regional and national bond issues, including in public-private partnership (P3) transactions.
Our Raleigh office regularly exceeds Pro Bono Challenge standards, and has been the recipient of various pro bono recognitions, including the North Carolina Bar Association Large Law Firm Pro Bono Award.
