Angola Granting credit in the real sector of the economy

  Angolan Central Bank (Banco Nacional de Angola, “BNA”) recently published Notice 10/22 of 6 April to update the scope of application of Notice 10/20 of 3 April on the granting credit to the real sector of the economy. The new Notice establishes (i) the terms and conditions applicable to the this type of credit, (ii) the minimum requirements in terms of number and total value and (iii) the treatment in the calculation of the reserve requirements. The illustrative list of essential goods to which the Notice applies underwent minor changes and now includes bee-keeping, pastry and bakery goods, wheat crops and derivatives, and fertilisers and soil correction materials...

 Decree-Law 30-A/2022was published on 18 April to approve the exceptional measures intended to ensure the simplification of the procedures for producing energy from renewable sources. PLMJ advises Helexia on the aquisition of Ewen Energy

PLMJ advised Helexia on the acquisition of Ewen Energy. Helexia is a French company operating in Portugal since 2016 in the devlopment of self-consumption solutions. The French company has acquired 60% of the Porto-based consultancy Ewen Energy and this is its first acquisition in the Portuguese market. The PLMJ team responsible for the transaction was coordinated by João Marques Mendes, the partner who is co-head of PLMJ's Energy practice, and by Nuno Serrão Faria, senior associate in the Corporate M&A practice. They were assisted by associates Ana Nunes Teixeira and João Trindade da Silva...
