Ferran has experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments in a variety of industries, particularly in cross-border transactions. As Spanish counsel he has represented, among others, Merck KGaA in its €4,9bn. OTC global division sale to Mylan Laboratories, Fortress Capital in its €2,5bn. acquisition of Intrawest Corp., J.W. Childs & Associates in its $450M acquisition of Procter & Gambles beverage business division Sunny Delight and has advised other private equity funds and financial institutions such as Credit Suisse Inc. and CVC.
On financial matters, Ferran has advised CVC and Torraspapel as Spanish counsel for the Issuer of €598M Senior Secured Floating Rate Notes and €150M Senior Unsecured Floating Rate Notes and the holder of senior guaranteed notes issued by Filmax, a Spanish film distribution and entertainment production company, on the restructuring of its senior debt.
