Mayte Sanchez Gonzalez is an Associate at Morgan & Morgan and serves in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution of the firm since 2011. Mrs. Sanchez specializes in complex and high-value commercial and corporate litigation matters where she has represented medium and major domestic and foreign corporate clients as well as governmental entities.
In arbitration matters, Mrs. Sanchez has ample experience in arbitration processes both domestic and international.
Mrs. Sanchez is certified as a Mediator and Conciliator from the Ministry of Government and Justice of Panama. She also is a member of the Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and frequently speaks at arbitration conferences.
In the public sector, Mrs. Sanchez served at the Panamanian Judicial System as an Assistant Judge of Civil Circuit Court and of a Justice of the Supreme Court (Third Chamber).
Mrs. Sanchez is also involved in the pro bono activities of the firm playing an active role on the creation of Panama’s first Central Blood Bank.
Mrs. Sanchez obtained an LL.B. from the University of Panama (2008) and a LL.M. in Global Legal Studies from the Universidad Catolica Portuguesa de Lisboa in Portugal (2010). She also has a Diploma in Mediation, Conciliation and Arbitration, and a Diploma in Criminal Justice.
