Steven guides business clients through the nuanced landscape of intellectual property law. He is personally dedicated to developing trusted relationships with everyone he serves while enhancing the value of each client’s IP assets.
Steven drafts and prosecutes patents in U.S. and global jurisdictions in the electrical engineering, computer science, and mechanical engineering fields. His practice also includes portfolio development and management, performing intellectual property due diligence, and providing litigation support to clients across a range of industries.
Before joining the firm and becoming a registered patent lawyer, Steven worked as an electrical design engineer at Texas Instruments. This experience helped him to better serve his clients’ technical and business needs.
Steven’s technical abilities are broad and deep. He is skilled in a wide range of technologies such as integrated circuits, video game technology, artificial intelligence, video-sharing technology, capacitive sense technology, collaborative document technology, memory technology, semiconductor fabrication, nanoimprint lithography, medical devices, video streaming, cloud computing, data storage, social networks, and data loss prevention (DLP) software.
Steven is also involved in a variety of pro bono initiatives. He provides pro bono representation to the California Inventors Assistance Program, which helps financially under-resourced independent inventors and small startups with their patent legal issues.
