Profile
Lenka Å ubenÃková is a partner in ÄŒechová & Partners. She has gained extensive experience and expertise in commercial and corporate law and M&A, employment law, real estate and regulatory.
In the field of real estate Lenka specialises mainly on project developments, real estate transactions (real estate acquisition and disposal), tenancy relations, construction and selected issues in respect of regulated real estate matters. As regards corporate law and M&A, Lenka has actively participated in several cross-border as well as domestic transactions and projects in various industrial sectors such as retail, manufacturing and information technology. Lenka has experience also in joint ventures matters and corporate reorganizations and regularly advises on day-to-day corporate matters and corporate governance. In respect of employment law, Lenka advises on employment law issues in M&A transactions (such as transfer of employees), management contracts, corporate reorganizations, all employment issues connected with companies entering the Slovak market, as well as various matters of a day-to-day HR agenda.
Lenka graduated from the Law Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia and received her Mgr. in 2003.
Prior to joining Čechová & Partners Lenka was a counsel at Wolf Theiss.

Significant Accomplishments
• Advice to a multinational lighting manufacturer on a Slovak part of the world-wide spin off of its particular business. Lenka advised on all corporate, commercial as well as employment and regulatory issues in relation to the project.
• Advice to one of the largest DIY retailers in Europe on a Slovak part of the largest distressed M&A transaction in CEE, in course of which the client took over a chain of home improvement stores and business in Slovakia, Austria, Czech Republic.
• Representing a leading European insurance group on sale and leaseback transaction concerning a portfolio of DIY stores in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary, and subsequent internal corporate restructuring within the group.
• Advice to a multinational leading business process services company on all Slovakia-related legal aspects of a worldwide acquisition of a customer care business from one of the largest multinational technology company.
• Advice to one of the largest commercial real estate company in CEE on several acquisitions of particular real estate projects (office building, shopping centres, warehouse and logistic centre) in CEE and SEE.
• Advising a company specialising in back-office services on behalf of national and international financial institutes and belonging to one of the largest banking Austrian banking groups on all employment matters in connection with the company’s entering the Slovak market. Lenka advised on a preparation of various types of standard employment documentation and agreements, structuring an employment scheme as well as on day-to-day HR matters.
• Advising a bank belonging to the largest banking groups in Europe on contracts with top management and related issues.
