Profile

Bringing 15 years of experience to both Business Law and Intellectual Property law, Fernando advises local and transnational companies in different aspects of day-to-day affairs, including private equity issues. In his main area of expertise, Intellectual Property, Fernando has experience in litigation, as well as in any issues related to the advisory, registration, protection and follow-up of Intellectual Property rights. He is also expert in obtaining health registrations and permits from various Ministries.In 2015, Fernando merged his law firm, Godoy & Asociados, which he had founded two years earlier in order to become one of six partners at the BLP offices in Honduras located in Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula. He had previously been Partner at the law firm Consortium for 12 years and worked in the Legal department of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration.A graduate of the School of Law and Social Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma of Honduras, Fernando also has an LLM in Corporate Law from Suffolk University, Boston and is a Public Notary.Currently, Fernando serves as a Board Director of three non-profit organizations: the Soñando con Parques Foundation, the Group of Catholic Entrepreneurs and Professionals, and the Unidos por los Niños Foundation. In addition, he is a member of the Inter-American Intellectual Property Association and the International Trademark Association.Fernando is based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
