He has experienced working with the tax authority of Thailand—The Revenue Department—and The Ministry of Finance, Thailand, for nearly five years, where he served as a professional-level tax audit officer at The Bureau of Tax Supervision and Audit Standards. Prior to joining the firm, he was an assistant manager in the international tax practice group at one of the Big 4 audit firms.

Peerapong’s experience includes both domestic and cross-border tax issues (corporate/personal income tax, VAT, SBT and stamp duty) on a wide variety of investment and complex business transactions, e.g. business restructuring, Entire Business Transfer (EBT), IP-related transactions, foreign direct investment, investment securities, capital and debt financing, related-party transactions, transfer pricing, and Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) issues, etc.

He has also assisted publicly traded companies in the IPO process and executing recapitalization strategies, including capital reduction, capital increase via rights offering and private placement, connected transactions and other legal matters in relation to Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations.

Relevant Experience

• Acted as issuer’s counsel to LEO Global Logistics Public Company Limited on the listing and issuing of the initial public offering of USD 12 million shares on the MAI market. The first day of trading was November 5, 2020.
• Advised on tax issues in relation to the representation as issuer’s counsel to Absolute Clean Energy Public Company Limited (SET: ACE) on the listing and issuing of the initial public offering (IPO) of 1.018 billion shares worth up to THB 4.47 billion or approximately USD 147 million on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The first day of trading was November 13, 2019.
