Gert obtained his Master's degree in Law at the Catholic University of Leuven in 2012. After graduating, Gert was employed as an indirect tax consultant by one of the top four consultancy firms in Belgium. In 2013, Gert started working for Tiberghien.

Gert is part of the Tiberghien indirect tax team and specialises in all aspects of indirect tax, with a predominant focus on VAT, customs and excise duties, from national, international and European perspectives. Gert advises both corporate and private clients and also assists in VAT reporting obligations.
