Profile

Lane Webster has counseled a wide array of clients in the healthcare, technology, sports, and financial services sectors, from multimillion-dollar corporations to corporate whistleblowers.

No stranger to high-stakes litigation, Lane helped secure a $48 million settlement in a qui tam suit against a large hospital system, obtained a favorable judgment following the bench trial of a Fortune 1000 CEO who violated her non-compete, and represented the NFL’s no. 1 running back in a high-profile union spat. In the past year, Lane also obtained a dismissal of a federal healthcare fraud indictment due to prosecutorial misconduct (a rare feat) and won summary judgment on behalf of the plaintiff in a real estate dispute, effectively ending litigation and procuring a significant sum for his client.

Lane is adroit at handling cases involving the False Claims Act, Securities Act, Stark and anti-kickback statutes, and enjoys tracking legal developments involving artificial intelligence.

He began his legal career clerking for the Hon. Jorge A. Solis, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He then did a brief stint in Washington, D.C., at a boutique law and lobbying firm advising trade associations and organizations – including “Fuel Up to Play 60,” a youth wellness campaign endorsed by the First Lady – on regulatory compliance. Eventually, he made his way back to Dallas, spending several years at an Am Law 100 firm before joining Bradley.

Lane earned his J.D. (with honors) from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where he published an article on patent litigation damages in SMU’s Science & Tech Law Review. He earned his B.S. from Texas A&M University.
