Jonathan August is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate practice group in the San Francisco office. He represents a wide variety of clients, including major financial institutions, banks, developers, landlords, and tenants in commercial real estate matters ranging from acquisitions and dispositions to leasing and financing.

Mr. August comes to Buchalter having significant experience in representing financial institutions on complex real estate financings, including in drafting assumption and origination documents for commercial mortgage-backed securities loans, representing master servicers on parcel releases, and working with clients on equity transfers related to securitized financings.

In addition, Mr. August’s expertise includes representing and advising retail landlords and commercial tenants on leases throughout the United States. Mr. August also has a substantial background in advising developers and land owners on title and survey concerns relating to the construction and renovation of shopping centers and multifamily buildings.
