Suhas is a Senior Partner in the Firm and a founding member of the Firm's Bangalore office. After graduating with a B.A., LL.B (Hons) degree from the prestigious National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU), he was called to the Bar in the year 1998.

Suhas does substantial work as part of the firm's Technology Law Practice. He represents some of the largest hardware and software companies in the world with regard to their operations in India. In particular, he has been responsible for assisting clients in setting up very large software development, R&D, engineering design, back office and BPO operations in India.

Suhas has strong experience in joint ventures, technical collaborations, mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments in the information technology, manufacturing, automobile and biotech industries. His work has included structuring, due diligence, advice on regulatory and anti-trust approvals, contract preparation and negotiations.

Suhas also handles large real estate projects of clients in the Bangalore office. In addition to Bangalore (and the State of Karnataka), Suhas has handled large real estate projects all over the country including in the cities of Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, etc. He also oversees a substantial portion of the complex commercial and criminal litigation in the office.

Suhas is very active in the aviation sector and assists several aviation manufacturers on sales to Indian entities (both in the private and public sectors including defense related sales/procurement). He has comprehensively advised many nuclear suppliers on liability issues under recently passed Indian laws. Suhas has advised many clients on Indian laws relating to trading of imported and locally procured goods, franchise arrangements, channel partner and distribution agreements, etc.

Suhas has spoken at various conferences including of the American Bar Association at Houston, USA on 'Legal Aspects of Outsourcing to India'. He has previously co-authored the (India) 'Chapter of Doing Business Around the World' published by the World Bank and co-authored articles published by the India Committee of the American Bar Association. He regularly undertakes training and legal update sessions to 'in-house' legal departments.

He is listed in the 2009, 2010 & 2011 Editions of the Guide to the World's Leading Technology, Media and Telecommunication Lawyers, the 2012 Edition of The International Who's Who of Internet, e-Commerce & Data Protection Lawyers and the 2011 and 2012 Chambers Asia Pacific Corporate/M&A section. He is listed in the Indian Lawyer 250's "40 under 45" leading legal practitioners in the country surveyed by Law Business Research Ltd.
