Alexandra Wood is an Associate in ENSafrica’s Corporate Commercial department.
She specialises in M&A, general corporate commercial law, company related work, due diligence investigations and general commercial transactions; public procurement, public sector financial management, public sector corporate governance and transactions, constitutional and administrative law; and advising on regulatory matters, with a particular focus on health care regulatory compliance matters.
She has acted for a wide range of local and international clients in a variety of industries, including clients operating in the public and private sectors, and a number of financial service providers, as well as a number of municipalities, public entities and other organs of state.
Alexandra's experience includes advising clients on general corporate commercial and company law matters, including matters related to the Companies Act No. 71 of 2008, governance, and transaction structures; drafting commercial documents; advising on numerous public-law related issues, such as providing advice on procurement-related issues, administrative-law issues, and constitutional-law issues, and assisting with drafting regulations, and various procurement-documents and policies; and providing advice on various regulatory issues, including, issues relating to medical devices, medical schemes, foodstuffs industries, automotive regulations, drafting formal submissions to Parliament and other regulatory bodies on proposed legislation (mostly in healthcare), and responding to enquiries from various regulatory bodies.
