Profile

As head of the International Trade Practice, Ana has developed trade consultancy and litigation at a local, regional and multilateral level. She works with trade remedy proceedings (dumping, countervailing duties and safeguard) in Brazil and other jurisdictions, assisting foreign producers / exporters, importers and domestic industries. In addition, Ana provides consulting services on customs classification, valuation, rules of origin, preferential tariffs (including GSP), import licensing procedures, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, and assists clients in trade negotiations.

Under her leadership, Veirano became the first law firm in Brazil to independently assist the Brazilian Government at the WTO Dispute Settlement Body (DSB).

From 1997 through 2001, Ana worked in the trade unit of the Organization of American States (OAS) and was a trade consultant at O Melveny & Myers Trade Practice in Washington, D.C.
