Dexter Hobbs is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group who specializes in representing commercial clients. With litigation, Dexter primarily focuses on business disputes involving issues such as breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, intellectual property infringement, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and breach of fiduciary duties. He also advises commercial clients on non-litigation matters such as corporate governance and drafting formation documents and contracts.

Dexter also contributes to Bradley’s Food, Beverage and Hospitality industry team, with an emphasis on helping North Carolina-based breweries with their legal needs. As part of this work, Dexter advises breweries on various food, beverage and alcohol-related issues, including issues related to hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) as a product or ingredient.

Prior to joining Bradley, Dexter clerked for the Hon. Louis Bledsoe on the North Carolina Business Court. He received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he competed on the Holderness Moot Court National Team and the Broun National Trial Team. In 2017, he was inducted into the University of North Carolina’s James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society, which recognizes eight third-year law students possessing both academic and personal excellence and a willingness to serve the law school. He also earned a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina.
