For two decades Claudia has been involved in high-level transactions in Banking & Finance, Business Law, Energy & Infrastructure, and Public Law, Public Procurement & Regulation.To Banking & Finance, she brings guidance and coordination in banking, securities, credit operations, payment channels, electronic services, and related matters.Her Business Law practice focuses on commercial contracts and, shareholder relations.Claudia also advises on Energy & Infrastructure, including the development of energy matters, public services, public contracts, regulation and law proposals, concessions and electric licenses, energy service rates, consumer habilitation, as well as administrative resources, writs of amparo, and administrative contracts pertaining to electric energy.Claudia’s long career in Energy & Infrastructure began as Legal Advisor in Electricity at the Instituto Nicaragüense de Energía. Subsequently, she became a Legal Services Manager at Unión Fenosa DISNORTE-DISSUR before becoming a Corporate Legal Advisor at Pellas Group. Following Grupo Val’s acquisition of Grupo Financiero BAC¦CREDOMATIC, she was named Legal Manager of BAC in Nicaragua. In 2017, she joined BLP as a Special Counsel in the Nicaragua office and was admitted to the Partnership in 2018.As a member of the Legal Committee of the Private Bank Association of Nicaragua, Claudia is highly recognized in her field. Prior to joining BLP, she was included among the top 100 most influential and innovative in-house attorneys in Central America by The Legal 500 CG Powerlist.She received a law degree from Universidad Centroamericana and has studied Formulation, Evaluation, and Administration of Projects at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. She also has a master’s degree from the Universidad de Chile with an emphasis on Public Law.Claudia is based in Managua, Nicaragua.
