Cortlin Bond is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group. She represents clients in a variety of general litigation matters and assists healthcare providers with legal issues that arise from the daily operation of healthcare facilities. In addition to handling healthcare and general litigation matters, Cortlin assists employers with a variety of labor and employment matters, including workplace investigations, the defense of federal employment claims, and the defense of employment claims predicated on state law tort and contract theories.
Prior to law school, Cortlin worked at the Department of Human Resources as a Child Abuse and Neglect Investigator. In her role at DHR, Cortlin worked closely with community partners to identify familial needs and to provide resources to families. When necessary, Cortlin participated in dependency hearings in juvenile court by reporting investigative findings related to guardianship and the safety of children.
Cortlin received her J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served as production editor of the Alabama Law Review. Cortlin earned a B.A. (magna cum laude) in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama.
