Profile

Daniela Gonzales Aldape is a member in Dykema's San Antonio office. She brings a team-oriented approach to her practice, where she focuses on commercial litigation and product liability. Daniela routinely steps in to take the reins and maneuver large complex dockets to the best advantage of her clients, and her organization and communication skills are invaluable. She is particularly adept at engaging in and handling multifarious discovery issues while preserving the simple story of a case for courtroom presentation.  Daniela often enters a case for the specific purpose of coordinating and directing trial preparation and trial presentation.

Daniela has represented original equipment manufacturers in catastrophic injury and death cases involving automobiles, motorcycles, utility terrain vehicles and cranes.  She has worked closely with clients to identify key technical materials needed to analyze and defend claims.  The vast majority of these matters necessitate a team of experts and Daniela’s knowledge and longstanding relationships in the industry allow her to provide advice on the areas of expertise needed in each case and recommendations for first rate engineering and medical experts across the country.

Daniela has successfully managed teams of lawyers, experts and staff on voluminous dockets, including multi-district litigation. Her organizational skills are indispensable on days when MDL litigation requires expert designations across 15 cases with multiple liability and damages experts in each matter in a single day.

Daniela has been fortunate to have excellent working relationships with opposing counsel.  Those relationships took years to build and provide a solid foundation of mutual respect that helps resolve discovery issues and other contentious matters outside of the courtroom. Sometimes the best way to handle multifarious and burdensome discovery is knowing when to fight and when to compromise.  Established relationships are a crucial aspect to effective case handling and keeping clients out of unnecessary and costly discovery battles.
