Denise M. Drake is Senior Counsel in Dykema's San Antonio office. Ms. Drake focuses her practice on corporate finance matters, advising clients in the purchase or sale of companies and assets, negotiating key commercial agreements, and ensuring corporate compliance with governance structures. Prior to joining Dykema in 2019, Ms. Drake served as in-house counsel for Marathon Petroleum Company (f/k/a Tesoro/Andeavor) for more than six years – most recently, as Associate Managing Counsel. In this role, she managed corporate and real estate matters for the company's midstream, refining and marketing assets. Before her tenure at Marathon, Ms. Drake was an Associate in the real estate group at Cox Smith Matthews (prior to the firm's combination with Dykema in 2015) where she represented developers, lenders, landlords and tenants in complex real estate and finance transactions.
