Profile

Elliot Labovitz’s practice focuses primarily on financial services litigation and regulatory compliance, as well as products liability and complex multi-district litigation (MDL). Elliot is actively involved in lawsuits and disputes across the country, most frequently in Alabama and Georgia, in which he represents companies involved in a wide array of state and federal claims.


Elliot has advised some of the nation’s largest financial institutions and mortgage companies as they adjust to changes in the regulatory environment with a focus on state-specific mortgage-servicing requirements and the latest regulatory directives of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).


After graduating from Georgetown University Law Center, Elliot joined the firm in 2012. Elliot is an associate in the Birmingham office where he practices in the firm’s General Litigation Practice Group and the Financial Services Litigation and Compliance Team. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the honors program and a James M. Johnston Scholar.
