Professional Career

Significant Accomplishments

On behalf of hospital clients, Glenda secured early dismissal of multiple lawsuits filed by physicians arising from peer review actions using California's anti-SLAPP statute.

Glenda defeated applications for preliminary injunctions filed against two hospitals by a number of specialty physicians seeking an order allowing them to exercise their clinical privileges despite their not being members of the medical group that held the exclusive contract to provide these specialty services at the hospitals. She subsequently secured summary judgment in the hospital’s favor in one lawsuit, and the physician plaintiffs then voluntarily dismissed their other lawsuit.
