Guzman Rodriguez, lawyer, has been in the frontline of the most significant investments and transactions in the Uruguayan market in recent times, including acting as counsel to Goldman Sachs in its acquisition of retail chain "Tienda Inglesa", acting as counsel to Coca-Cola FEMSA in its acquisition of Montevideo Refrescos SRL (indirect subsidiary of The Coca Cola Company) and acting as counsel to Corporacion Vial del Uruguay in one of the largest corporate notes issuance in the local market to date.

Guzman specializes in M&A transactions and finance, acting as regular counsel to Banco Itau. He is also frequently instructed to intervene in complex corporate matters.

A graduate from Harvard Law School (LL.M.), Guzman's international experience includes working in the New York offices of Linklaters LLP.

He has won several first prizes for his books and articles, including the Adolfo Gelsi Bidart civil procedure law prize, the Mezzera law firm commercial law prize and the 160 anniversary of the foundation of the Law School of the University of the Republic prize.
