Ian Davis deals widely in the negotiation and structuring of corporate and tax aspects of multinational and Australian joint ventures, particularly mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, reconstructions, and capital raisings.

Ian is also one of the firm's key advisors on all matters China, drawing upon extensive involvement with Asian commercial enterprises, especially in China and Japan, as well as Australian corporates and investors formulating business strategies for Asia.

A very experienced public company Director, Ian is a high level strategic advisor to businesses, corporations and high net-worth family groups across Asia, in Australia, and internationally. He has sat on public company boards for over 20 years, both in the capacity as Non Executive Chairman and Non Executive Director.

Well recognised as a mediator, he has often been appointed at the request of corporations to mediate in large-scale commercial disputes.

Ian also acts for a number of BRW Rich 200 List families in all aspects of their business and personal affairs.

With a career spanning more than 40 years, Ian is one of the firm's senior statesmen, stepping down as National Chairman of Partners in 2003.
